In late 2018, Steve Bannon, previously a top aide to Donald Trump, visited the UK preparing for a speech at the Oxford Union.

The speech was interrupted by numerous protesters, and Bannon, who was due to board a flight that night, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Activists delayed my talk I doubt I can make the flight we r enroute to heathrow".

Epstein responded: "There. Is a gulf air that leaves at 9:50 with a stop in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "You are an excellent assistant".

These messages were released on Wednesday together with more than 20,000 pages from the estate of Epstein, the late financier convicted of sex crimes.

The disclosure by the House oversight committee includes an iMessage chat where Bannon's name is withheld. Media outlets has been able to confirm his identity by matching the dates, occurrences, and locations mentioned.

For example, Epstein talks about arranging a jet from the UK for the redacted user in the messages, and offers praise their "Oxford speech". Bannon participated in the News Xchange conference on November 14, and gave the speech at the Oxford Union on November 16.

Bannon, who faces no allegations of any misconduct, declined to comment on the request for comment.

Epstein's Assurance to Bannon

Bannon served as the president's closest advisers in the run up to the presidential election and in the early days of his presidency, but resigned from the White House in 2017.

He has admitted he was making a documentary about Epstein prior to his passing and allegedly has approximately 15 hours of recordings. In a live taping of his show recently, he stated: "We're going to publish the series, the five-part series, next year - early next year."

But the newly released materials indicate Bannon's connection with Epstein extended than being his biographer, with the disgraced financier at times appearing to serve like a aide.

A short time before the exchange in which Epstein appeared to have booked a charter jet for Bannon, Epstein said: "what's it like to have the highest-paid travel agent in the world ".

Bannon expressed gratitude: "You are quite capable asst", to which Epstein responded "Massages. Excluded".

Discussing a trip to "Abu Dhabi" in another message, Epstein told Bannon: "I'll make sure you are taken care of."

UK Politics Mentioned in Exchanges

The released communications also reveal Bannon and Epstein talking about UK politics in that year.

Earlier on the day of his address at the Oxford Union, Bannon texted Epstein: "I became involved in the Brexit issue this morning with Farage, Boris and Mogg."

Then, in what appears to be a allusion to the UK prime minister, the struggling British leader at the time, he added: "They are trying to move on. May today / tomorrow…"

Epstein suggested Bannon: "I think remaining as much as you can in the UK. Best-- so others see the commitment of your follow-up."

Shortly after, Epstein asked: "Will Theresa May remain in power". Bannon replied: "It seems unlikely BUT the guys here have little courage" and noted "Johnson ; Michael Gove; Rees Mogg; Davis - somebody has to take charge".

Theresa May was finally removed in May 2019 after withstanding two votes of lack of support in late 2018.

A spokesman for the political party informed media: "Farage has never been in a meeting with Bannon, Jacob Rees Mogg and Johnson." And there is no evidence that encounter occurred.

The Congress will vote next week on whether the justice department should release all its files related to its probe into Epstein, who died in jail in 2019.

Interest in Epstein's relationships with influential individuals was renewed this week after the publication of over 20,000 pages from his estate.

A portion of those referenced Trump, who has consistently denied any wrongdoing. The president was a acquaintance of Epstein's for a long time, but claims they fell out in the 2000s, two years before Epstein was first arrested.
