The Renowned Musician Calls On Backing to Get Together for Palestine Song to UK Christmas No 1.

A charity drive is aiming to propel a Palestinian lullaby to the Christmas number one spot. The effort seeks to deliver assistance to people in Gaza while also showcasing Palestinian artistic heritage.

A Chance for Unity and an "Unlikely Coup"

Composer and producer Brian Eno, who performs on the track, stated that the release called 'Lullaby' represents a chance to support Palestinians during the holidays. He remarked the potential for an surprise number one.

“That would be amazing if that happened, yes,” he said. “I wouldn't be completely disheartened if it fails to, festive releases are a unique phenomenon.”

Powerful Theme of Self-Determination

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who sings on the reimagining of a cultural piece called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the song's defiant core message.

“It has a profound significance for a lot of people,” Barghouti explained. “The message is that I would prefer a dignified death than exist without freedom. That is the core idea of the song; we seek to lead a life of dignity that we deserve as Palestinians.”

Track's Background and Featured Artists

The song was recorded in the wake of a large-scale benefit event held in late summer. Originally intended to be performed and recorded live, the performance was cut from the show due to time constraints.

The diverse array of performers contributing to Lullaby includes a selection of well-known figures from the scene. All were part of the benefit event, which successfully generated a significant sum for charitable causes.

Production and Release

Lullaby was crafted by a group of producers and composers. The track showcases a fusion of the traditional Arabic lyrics with contemporary English verses.

The organizers behind the project have stated that their goal is to raise as much as possible for a dedicated fund. These donations will be allocated to initiatives supporting Palestinians through an established charity.

“We don’t have a rigid aim,” a spokesperson explained. “We’ll go for the maximum achievable. Of course, the more the merrier. It all goes out to Gaza.”

The reality in the area was described as its extreme devastation, with a huge proportion of property described as levelled or seriously harmed.

“In that context, a couple of million won't make an enormous impact. But I think the significant factor is above all making this cause better known and showing the human dimension of the story.”

The single 'Lullaby' is scheduled for release this Friday. Additionally, a complete film of the charity concert will be made ready to watch on a popular streaming site from the 19th of December.
